Creating an All Documents View in Outlook

In Lotus Notes I had an All Documents View. Now that I’ve migrated to Outlook, is there any way to access an All Documents View?

Even though Microsoft Outlook does not have an All Documents View by default, you can quickly create a view in which you can view all your Outlook mail regardless of which folder it resides in. You will need to create a custom Search Folder. Follow these steps:

  1. From the navigation pane, right click on Search Folders.
  2. Click on New Search Folder.
  3. Scroll down and select “Create a Custom Search Folder”.
  4. Click on Choose button.
  5. Name the Search Folder “All Documents”.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Click Yes. No need to enter any criteria as you want to see all documents.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Your “All Documents” search folder appears in the navigation pane.

NOTE: If you move your reading pane to the right (Select View Tab, Choose Reading Pane, Select Right), you will easily be able to see the name of each folder the mail is located in.
