Microsoft Outlook 2013 Templates

Do you find yourself sending the same emails over again and again? Outlook templates are a great timesaver. Use email templates to send messages that include information that infrequently changes from message to message. Compose and save a message as a template, and then reuse it when you want it. New information can be added before the template is sent as an email message.

To Create a New Template:

1. Click Home.

2. In the New group, click New Email.

3. Optional: If you send this email to the same recipient(s) each time you send this email, enter the email address(es) or contact group(s).

4. In the message body, enter the content that you want.

5. In the message window, click the File tab.

6. Click Save As.

7. In the Save As dialog box, in the Save as type list, click Outlook Template.

8. In the File name box, type a name for your template.

9. Click Save.

To Use a Template:

1. To create a new email message based on your template, from the Home tab, click on the New Items button, select More Items and then Choose Form.

2. When the dialog box opens, select User Templates in File System.

3. From the list of templates, select the template for the mail message you would like to create.

4. Select Open.

5. Continue completing the rest of the email fields.

6. Click Send when finished.
