Benefits of IT and Professional Development Training

“For organizations to achieve the benefits of new information technology systems, their users must adopt and then actually use these new systems.”

Information Systems Research

Is your organization investing in new technology at growing rates? If yes, you’re in the same boat as 69% of enterprises around the globe. Something that can set you apart from this large population and help you stand above your competitors is to have your organization adopt and fully utilize the technology you have in place.

IT and Professional Development training equips individuals with the tools they need to operate and relay information about organizational infrastructure, systems, and devices.

Organizations in various industries have seen additional training benefits that include:

  • Immediate increase in productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency
  • Higher rates of employee retention
  • Lucrative returns on technology investments

If you invested in technology this year but still need to secure training, now is the time to invest in a learning plan that will maximize your returns.

Maximize Your ROI with IT Training at Directions

Directions’ limited time promotions and long-term investment plans allow you to maximize your training dollars and fully reconcile your 2015 budget. Take advantage of the discounts and voucher promotions Directions offers to maximize your ROI.

Training Discounts

At Directions Training, we offer limited time promotions that lower training costs without compromising quality. Here are several training discounts that are available to you until year’s end:

Training Budget Optimization Plan (TBOP)
Pre-purchase a training plan that can be invoiced now and executed later. One of the greatest appeals of “spend now, train later” programs are the flexibility they offer. At Directions, our Training Budget Optimization Plan (TBOP) is a great way to invest in blocks of training before committing to specific courses or learning paths. Better yet, Directions’ TBOP takes your budget far; with your advanced purchase, you can receive up to $12,000 of additional training for no extra cost.

Gadget Giveaway
Another discount offered exclusively by Directions Training is our gadget giveaway. When you enroll in any eligible 5-day technical training course, you will receive a $400 Amazon or Best Buy e-card to use towards the purchase of a new device.

New Customer Promotion
If you’ve never purchased training from Directions before, now is a good time to start. New customers can receive up to 50% off any eligible public Microsoft technical course, or any private on-site class for 8 people or less.

Training Voucher Promotions

Beyond Directions’ training discounts, some technology vendors offer learning packages that can be redeemed at Directions. Microsoft Software Assurance Training Vouchers and Cisco Learning Credits are two ways you can leverage your year-end budget and secure large-scale training plans.

Microsoft Software Assurance Training Vouchers (SATVs)
If you haven’t heard of the Microsoft Software Assurance program, don’t worry – you’re not alone. A lot of people haven’t heard of Software Assurance Training Vouchers (SATVs), but more alarming is the number of people who have access to SATVs and don’t use them.

SATVs are available to organizations that enter volume licensing agreements with Microsoft. They are free training dollars that you can use at a Microsoft Certified Partner for Learning Solutions (CPLS), like Directions Training.

At Directions, we encourage the use of active SATVs. Many Microsoft Official Curriculum courses at Directions are SATV eligible. If you need to acquire training for your Microsoft products but are unsure if you have active SATVs to cash in, check with other members of your team. Maybe your management or purchasing department knows of active SATVs that you can use to subsidize your training plan and bolster your year-end spending.

To learn more about the SATV process, download our “Maximize Year-End IT Training Budgets” whitepaper.

Cisco Learning Credits
Similar to Microsoft’s Software Assurance program, Cisco offers learning credits that can be redeemed with a certified Cisco Learning Partner, like Directions Training. However, that is pretty much where the similarities stop. Cisco learning credits are available for purchase only. They can be acquired anytime and are sold in packs of 10, 100, 500, and 1,500. Each credit covers $100 of Cisco training.

Organizations flock to plans like Cisco Learning Credits because they allow them to make worthwhile investments without committing to specific training options right away.  If this is the type of investment you’re looking for, consider exploring Cisco Learning Credits or Directions’ TBOP.

Voucher programs and limited time discounts help organizations maximize their year-end IT training budgets. And unlike some long-term investments, the benefits of training can be seen almost immediately. One reason why Directions’ customers realize returns so quickly is because our delivery methods are flexible and intend to fit an organization’s time constraints and work environments.
